About the The purpose of the E-Rock Companion Site for students is to illustrate how free online Web 2.0 applications can be used to:
Viewers will be invited to join the E-Rock Social Network and participate in the network's activities as if they were students in the E-Rock team. They will also be asked to join the E-Rock Your Say Forum to vote on performance themes and comment on past performances. |
Educational foundations
The development of both sites was underpinned by both a social constructivist approach and connectivism, and the assumption that we cannot know what the learners already know, nor predict which paths they might take to further their learning (Siemens, 2008).
Our resource development is also based on the beliefs that learning should be collaborative, self-directed and meaningful and that ICTs should be embedded throughout all stages of the learning process.
Help test our theory ... remember to leave your 'digital footprints' all over our site by participating in the activities we have set up for you. We'll be able to use your comments, posts and survey and poll responses to gauge what interested people most.
